Seachem Purigen – Advanced filter media for crystal-clear aquarium water

Seachem Purigen is a high-quality synthetic filter media that effectively removes both soluble and insoluble impurities from aquarium water. Unlike many other filter materials, Purigen is not a blend of different adsorbents or ion exchangers, but rather consists of a unique macroporous synthetic polymer that can absorb organic waste very effectively.

By removing nitrogenous organic waste, Purigen helps to control ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate, contributing to a cleaner and more stable aquarium. The result is not only better water quality but also exceptionally clear water. At the same time, Purigen has minimal impact on trace elements, making it suitable even for aquariums with plants and shrimp.

As Purigen absorbs impurities, its color gradually changes from light to dark brown or black. When this occurs, the material can be easily regenerated with bleach, allowing it to be reused multiple times.

Usage
