Tantora Catappa Bark – Natural protection for your shrimp

Catappa bark comes from the almond tree and is packed with tannins – the same active substances found in the popular catappa leaves. It's nature at its best.

The bark naturally lowers the pH value, protects against harmful bacteria, and strengthens the mucous membrane of your shrimp and crustaceans. Healthy shrimp are happy shrimp, and with catappa bark, you give them the best possible conditions.

Prevent before it's too late

Diseases in shrimp are notoriously difficult to detect in time – and by the time symptoms appear, it's often too late for the entire colony. Catappa bark acts as a constant, natural protection around the clock without you having to do anything active.

Also works as hiding spots

Thanks to its tubular shape, the bark becomes a perfect refuge for younger shrimp and crustaceans – something they love. Once the bark has broken down, it can remain on the bottom and contributes to a natural and atmospheric aquarium.

Dosage: 1 stick per 50 liters, every three months.

Content: 2 round sticks, 6–10 cm long with approx. 1.5–2.5 cm in diameter. Natural product – size varies.
